US Federal Tax Filing Extension

The IRS have just announced that the filing date for 2020 US Federal Tax Returns has been extended from 15th April 2021 to 17th May 2021.

The date for payment of 2020 tax for individuals has also been extended to 17th May. Therefore, interest and penalties that normally run from 15th April, will not now commence until 17th May.
